Burlingame

Located right in the heart of the San Francisco Peninsula, the city of Burlingame perfectly brings together the delights and modern-day conveniences of the big city and the charms of rural America.

Home to a population of 30,000 residents, Burlingame is an affluent community with a median household income of $128,447 as of 2019. It is also a very safe city to live in, given that its violent crime rate is significantly lower compared to the national average.

Burlingame’s housing market is also very competitive, with properties now fetching prices of just under $2 million.

While the majority of the available homes in Burlingame are modern in terms of their aesthetics, houses built in the Mid-Century Modern, Prairie, Craftsman, Churrigueresque, and Spanish Revival styles can still be seen around the city.

A dynamic city, Burlingame does not run out of things to offer its residents.

Shoppers can take advantage of Burlingame’s two shopping districts, namely Broadway and Downtown Burlingame Avenue. Foodies can satisfy their cravings at any of the city’s numerous restaurants and bars, such as the ever-popular Benihana and Velvet 48.

Those who love the great outdoors will enjoy Burlingame’s selection of outdoor attractions, such as Washington Park, a dog-friendly space which features beautiful tree carvings and rose bush-lined walking paths.

Another must-visit outdoor space is Bayfront Park. Managed by the Burlingame Parks and Recreation Department, Bayfront Park boasts breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, as well as public facilities like a dog park, athletic fields, and hiking trails.

One other popular attraction is the Burlingame Fresh Market. Managed by the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce, the Burlingame Fresh Market is held weekly and serves as a way to bring fresh, area-grown produce to the city’s residents.
